Insight from Machine Discovery’s first intern

Machine Discovery (MD) is pleased to announce that it has launched an internship program. Applications from ambitious candidates are now being accepted. Candidates with knowledge of the AI, semiconductor or fusion industries are encouraged to apply. The working arrangements are currently fully remote.

Joshua Selfridge was MD’s first intern in the summer of 2023, under the supervision of Muhammad Firmansyah, CSO. His work focused on mathematical theory. Joshua’s project was to investigate the mathematical error bounds (accuracy) of MD’s new technique in parallelizing the evaluation and training of Neural Ordinary Differential Equations. This will potentially speed up research and development in this area.
